FAQ's

What makes Silver Creek Pilates different?

At Silver Creek Pilates, we prioritize personalized attention with a maximum of just 6 participants per class. This smaller class size allows our instructors to focus on each individual, ensuring proper form and technique for optimal results. By understanding unique fitness needs and goals, we can help you strengthen your core, enhance muscle performance, and improve joint and spine mobility in a supportive environment.

What should I wear and bring to Pilates Reformer?

Your comfort is our priority. We recommend wearing form-fitting clothing to help us observe your body form and function, but ultimately, choose what feels best for you. If you opt for shorts, fitted leg liners are advisable. Don't forget your gripped cover socks; if you forget, we have loaner pairs available. Remember to bring a water bottle, but if you forget, we offer filtered water and drinking glasses for your convenience.

Should I attend a Group Flow Session or Private Session and what exactly does the term "flow" mean for a group session?

To practice Pilates effectively, understanding its principles is essential. Those with prior Reformer experience can easily join our All Level Flow Class,  Flow means that we methodically transition from a sequence of various exercises that target specific areas of the body with the goal being to have done a 360° workout of the body. The great thing about Pilates is there is a modification for everything.

Private lessons are ideal for participants with unique circumstances that necessitate tailored modifications or those who prefer a more gradual learning pace. They are especially beneficial for individuals who are entirely new to Pilates and need extra support in becoming familiar with the proper techniques and cueing terminology. Private sessions allow one to build confidence and skill in their practice. These sessions focus on the client's unique needs, helping to strengthen targeted areas while providing essential knowledge for independent practice. Our goal is to empower clients with an understanding of their limits and modifications, ensuring they feel confident when transitioning to group sessions. With this tailored approach, clients can optimize their Pilates experience and continue their journey with ease.

What's the atmosphere like at Silver Creek Pilates?

Silver Creek Pilates is a very welcoming environment.  If you're new to Pilates and you come in for your first class, you will find your fellow Pilates practitioners will be there to welcome you, support and cheer you on. There is laughter, there is playful whining about "the burn", but at the end of the day, almost everyone leaves the studio happy and suitably worked out.
